This year we launched the Hall of Fame at the TEAs live event, to recognise and honour some of the people who have helped make the Tenerife entertainment scene what it is today.
For the inauguration we inducted six people who, or people on their behalf, were presented with plaques to commemorate the occasion and to thank them for their services to the scene.

Name: Colin Gibb
Inducted: 17th November 2024.
Colin had songs that changed our lives, particularly at parties. Colin joined a band called Black Lace in 1976 and they represented the UK at Eurovision in 1979 finishing 7th.
In 1983 they released a song called Superman which was followed by another called Agadoo, and the rest as they say is history. After numerous tours, TV appearances including Top of The Pops and even Spitting Image, Colin decided to make Tenerife his home and continued to wave the Black Lace flag with Gordon King until retiring in May this year.
Unfortunately Colin passed away shortly after leaving the Agadoo legacy for us to enjoy forever. |
